Blue and white romantic Ironstone Staffordshire transfer dish. This lovely item shows a romantic view of a couple on the shore looking past what appear to be Italian villa's located upon a river with fisherman in a boat. The outer pattern shows friezes of Italianate buildings. There is a British registry mark on the reverse that dates this item to August 23, 1848. There is some slightly darkened area on the reverse of the dish but overall it is in very nice conditions. Measures 5 1/2" across. No chips, cracks or repairs.

"WILLIE BREW'D A PECK O MALT" 19th CENTURY STAFFORDSHIRE MUG

19th Century Staffordshire mug decorated with the scene "Willie Brew'd A Peck O Malt" and displays an interior with a Figural Frog. Measures 5 " in height and the top opening is of 4 " in diameter. The mug has the same design on front and back of 3 men drinking in the old pub, pitcher of ale on stool nearby ready to refill mugs and party on. Inside is a large spotted frog.There is some minor fine crazing ad a tight under the glaze hairline but it looks to be nothing more than a darkened craze line.
